Top 100 Albums of 2008!

With every list that deals with ranking, comes controversy. I'm pretty sure this one will be no exception. Now for the past couple of weeks I've been wondering all around SL, asking people in various clubs, stores and music groups about getting their top ten albums of 2008, I even extended the due date of the list by a week and managed to collect a good healthy top 100 list! Also I'm pretty proud to say that Carter III does not appear on this! So read, enjoy, discuss later around the water cooler.

Busted our cherry

To celebrate Meta's installation in the *69 Art Lounge - Uzamaki - The Purgatory Lounge, Robin put together a party with DJ Niko Lyle. Beautiful people came, laughed, complained about lag, praised Meta's art, acted the fool and danced their bunz off. Sounds like good times to me! :D Thank you again to everyone who came and celebrated with us! xxx

Meta Contantine: Now through Dec 30

After a somewhat hectic Holiday Season come enjoy the stark contrast and duality of Meta Constantine's installation in the *69 Art Lounge: Uzamaki - The Purgatory Lounge.

This Saturday, Dec 27th from 10pm-12am, SLT, slip into some easy down-tempo grooves and lush vibes as DJ Niko Lyle spins us into the crimson severity and azure transcendental environs of the human spirit.

Come dressed cool, loungey and with an open mind towards the existential.

You'll find Meta to be a gracious and savvy host. :)

Computer Club Records, open for business!

After a few months of off-and-on work, we finally launched our first official storefront! CLICK HERE to TP to the store, for a look. You might be wondering - "What the hell is in your store??" To answer, we have 3 categories of products available.

1. CCR Second Life Singles Series
-For 150L you and your avatar walk away with an mp3, digital t-shirt and poster, note from the band, digital artwork for display in-world, and lyrics. We've launched the series with singles from 4 artists:
001 - Gileah and the Ghost Train - "The Satellite"
002 - With Hatchet, Pike & Gun - "The Hands"
003 - City of Ships - "Night Vision"
004 - X-AM - "As Love Permeates the Air"

2. A few select releases from our back catalog. Right now we have about 10 up, and even 2 new releases (The Onslaught Dynamo/Coyote Throat split & the X-AM "is in love" record). Prices vary depending on the release, and all come with digital artwork for display in-world.

3. T-Shirts designed by me (Roland). The designs are fairly juvenile and fun, and are super cheap at only 25 Lindens a pop. They even come with 2 free song downloads, just for the heck of it.

As of today, I just put up a new section for freebies. Thus far, for the price of 0 Lindens, you can nab:
-a 13-track sampler of Computer Club artists present & past
-a slew of digital Computer Club T-shirts in varying colors and cuts

And soon I'll even have a section for nerdy gestures. Righteous. Now where's my pocket protector?
